Regression model built from data found on Kaggle used to predict house prices in Ames, Iowa for the years 2006-2010. Note, given fluctuations in housing prices since 2010, applications are limited to years after 2010.

Midwestern Counties Poverty and Population collection tool using www.povertyusa.org (R)

Web Scraping tool written in R that scrapes www.povertyusa.org for population, poverty, and proportion data for analytical purposes. This tool was written for a project that used this information to understand the effects of poverty on drowning rates in the Midwest. Both the R file and the RDA file are included.

In progress: Analysis of Defense Contractors Market Cap and Geopolitical Events

Using data from Kaggle, I will look for relationships between war-related geopolitical events and US defense contractor Market capitalizations. Events will be classified by an index based on the countries commonly referenced in articles discussing these events. For instance, an event involving countries with larger yearly military spending will receive a greater index score than those with smaller yearly military spending. This is a work in progress.
